OXFORD, PA — An intense evening unfolded in Oxford when police successfully apprehended Manuel Arevalo Morales, 32, following a brief foot pursuit. The Oxford Police Department, acting on a tip received on October 12, 2024, converged on an event in the 100 block of Brick Street where the wanted individual was reportedly present.
Officers swiftly arrived on the scene and confirmed the presence of Arevalo Morales before proceeding to engage him. As officers attempted to escort him out of the building, Arevalo Morales fled, initiating a chase that led him into a nearby cornfield.
A collaborative effort ensued, involving the Pennsylvania State Police and the Chester County Sheriff’s Office K9 unit, which culminated in Arevalo Morales being located and taken into custody. He was subsequently transported to the Oxford Police Department for processing before being transferred by Constables to Chester County Prison to face an active bench warrant.
In addition to the existing warrant, Arevalo Morales now faces allegations of flight to avoid apprehension and resisting arrest. Authorities have indicated that further charges have been filed via summons.
The Oxford Police Department has underscored that all charges remain allegations at this stage, with Arevalo Morales presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
