Downingtown Man Charged with Aggravated Assault at West Chester Pub

WEST CHESTER, PA — On Sunday, December 3rd, 2023, a man was arrested following an alleged assault at Kildare’s Pub at 18 W Gay Street. The West Chester Police Department reported that officers responded to the scene at approximately 1:15 am.

The accused, identified as Mark Kowalsky, a 24-year-old from Downingtown, PA, is alleged to have pulled out a knife while inside the bar and injured a woman on her hand. The victim’s condition has not been disclosed.

Kowalsky now faces multiple charges, including one count of aggravated assault, one count of possession of instruments of crime, one count of simple assault, and one count of recklessly endangering another person.

The police report ID for this incident is WC-23-37193. A preliminary hearing for Kowalsky is pending.
