Do You Recognize This Suspect? Help Police Solve Smyrna Vehicle Theft Case

SMYRNA, DE — Authorities in New Castle County are requesting public assistance in identifying a suspect linked to the theft of a wallet from a vehicle in the Village of Savannah neighborhood.

The incident occurred during the early morning hours of Tuesday, January 28, 2025. According to police reports, a wallet containing credit cards and personal belongings was stolen from a vehicle. Shortly after the theft, one of the stolen credit cards was allegedly used multiple times at businesses located along Centerville Road in Wilmington.

Investigators have released surveillance footage of the suspect, described as a Black male. At the time of the footage, the individual was wearing a light-colored zip-up jacket, gray pants, and gray sneakers.
