Do You Recognize This Suspect? Help Philly Police Solve the Halloween Assault Case

PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Philadelphia Police Department‘s Central Detective Division is appealing to the public for assistance in identifying a suspect linked to an alleged assault that occurred on October 31, 2024. Authorities have released a video clip of the incident, hoping it will lead to the suspect’s identification.

The incident unfolded on the 800 block of North Broad Street around 8:23 PM, when an altercation between the complainant and the suspect escalated. The suspect allegedly struck the complainant once, causing unconsciousness and inflicting severe injuries, including a broken jaw and multiple facial fractures.

The suspect is described as a Black male with long braided hair. At the time of the incident, he was reportedly wearing a burgundy hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, and dark shoes.

Police urge anyone who may recognize the individual to refrain from approaching him and instead contact 911 immediately.
