WILMINGTON, DE — Authorities in Wilmington are investigating a shooting that occurred in the city early Sunday afternoon, leaving one person injured.

According to police, officers responded to reports of a shooting on December 15, 2024, at approximately 12:50 p.m., in the 900 block of Jefferson Street. Upon arrival, investigators learned that a 37-year-old male victim had sustained a gunshot wound. The individual later sought treatment at a local hospital, where he was reported to be in stable condition.

Officials have not released further details about the incident, which remains under active investigation. Police are asking anyone with information to come forward to assist in solving the case.
