KENNETT SQUARE, PA — A Delaware resident is facing multiple charges, including driving under the influence (DUI), and has failed to appear at his preliminary hearing, according to Kennett Square Police Department.

Ross Robinson, 55, of Newark, DE, was due to appear in District Court 15-3-04 on December 18, 2023, following an incident that occurred in late October. The court issued an arrest warrant for Robinson after he failed to show up for the hearing.

The charges against Robinson stem from an incident that took place in the early hours of October 29, 2023. Police stopped Robinson, who was driving a red Dodge without headlights on, after he allegedly failed to stop at a red light and made an illegal right turn at an intersection marked “No Turn on Red”. The incident occurred on the 100 Block of W. State Street, Kennett Square Borough.

Upon stopping Robinson, officers observed signs suggesting he was intoxicated. Field sobriety tests were conducted, indicating impairment. Robinson was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI but refused to submit to a chemical blood test. He was processed and later released, with charges filed at District Court 15-3-04.

In addition to DUI, Robinson faces charges of fleeing or attempting to elude police, driving without required lighted lamps, and disregarding traffic control signals.
