Daring Attempt Foiled: Suspect Nabbed in Wilmington Bank Robbery Case

WILMINGTON, DEWilmington Police have apprehended a suspect in connection with an alleged attempted bank robbery that took place on November 8. The incident occurred around 11:41 a.m. in the 200 block of North Union Street, where officers from the Uniformed Services Division responded promptly to the scene. Upon arrival, they gathered a description of the suspect, which was then distributed to units patrolling the vicinity.

Shortly thereafter, officers from the Elsmere Police Department identified a man matching the suspect’s description in the 900 block of New Road. The individual, 34-year-old Quincy Taylor, was also wanted for an unrelated issue and was arrested without incident.

Taylor has been charged with attempted robbery in the second degree, alongside the existing warrant. He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and is currently held at the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution with a bail set at $6,000 cash-only.

Authorities remind the public that all charges are allegations at this stage, and Taylor is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
