Crack and Heroin Seized: Wilmington Police Arrest Man in Drug Bust

WILMINGTON, DEWilmington Police have arrested a local man on drug-related charges following an investigation by the Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division.

On March 13, at approximately 2:16 p.m., officers conducting operations in the 300 block of West 7th Street observed alleged drug activity involving a male individual. Police approached and detained 31-year-old Wallace Sanchez without incident.

Upon further investigation, Sanchez was found to be in possession of 0.53 grams of crack cocaine and 1.17 grams of heroin.

Sanchez has been charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver. He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and is currently being held at the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $10,000 cash-only bail.

Authorities remind the public that all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
