COATESVILLE, PA — The City of Coatesville Police Department has announced an ongoing investigation into a shooting incident that took place Monday, July 17, 2023, around 9:30 pm in the 800 block of Stirling Street.
According to Investigators, an Instagram post was made advising the public of a block party. During the event, many people of various age ranges arrived, from juveniles to adults. The party lasted approximately 20 minutes before shots rang out. and people began to run in different directions. City of Coatesville Police Officers and Detectives arrived on the scene and recovered twelve (12) .223 rifle rounds and discharged casings. Scott Middle School and one vehicle sustained damage from the stray bullets.
Later, on July 18, 2023, at 12:29 am, the City f Coatesville Police Department received a call from Chester County Hospital to advise them that a shooting victim has arrived in a private vehicle. The victim has been identified as 22-year-old Dapree Bryant, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries and eventually walked out of the hospital against medical advice.
