WEST CHESTER, PA — The Chester County District Attorney’s Office announced the arrest of a 30-year-old Coatesville, Pennsylvania resident for having unlawful contact with four minor victims ages 12-16 from September 2022 through April 2023 on social media.
Tyshon Perry has been charged with unlawful contact with minors, child pornography, and related charges. Perry has been remanded to the Chester County Prison in lieu of one million cash bail set by Magisterial District Judge Hines.
“The defendant posed as a teenager and solicited naked images from children and sent naked images of himself using Snapchat. We believe there are more victims out there. If you have any information regarding this case call the Chester County Detectives at 610-344-6866,” said Chester County District Attorney Deb Ryan. “This is another reminder to talk to your children about who they communicate with online and warn them about the dangers of child predators.”
The allegations in the complaint are the following:
On May 3, 2023, Chester County Detectives received information that Tyshon Perry was soliciting minors for their naked images on Snapchat. Detectives saw exchanges where Perry asked users if they liked older men, including users who identified as underage, notably 14-16 years old. Perry solicited explicit sexual images from the users and sent sexual images of himself. On May 4, 2023, a search warrant was issued, and the Chester County Detectives Computer Forensics Unit analyzed the defendant’s Snapchat account. The Snapchat account and username was “go2guyty.” Detectives found numerous still images and videos of pubescent and post-pubescent juvenile females.
Images recovered from this account show Perry’s face and show him engaged in sexual activity with various female juveniles. Perry identified himself as 15 years old when sharing the images with other users. Investigators found numerous Snapchat conversations from the defendant, who engaged in sexual chats with minors, and solicited and shared sexual images. Perry was also attempting to meet in person for sexual activity.
Four minor victims ranging in ages 12-16 years old were identified and were subsequently contacted by law enforcement.
On May 5, 2023, police conducted a forensic interview with child victim #1. The child stated that she was approximately 15 years old when she communicated with the defendant on Snapchat. She said their communications began in December 2022 and ended in January 2023. The child identified herself as 14 years old in her Snapchat profile. During the week of Christmas 2022 through the first week of January she and the defendant communicated approximately every day. During some of the video chats, the defendant asked her to masturbate on camera. Child victim #1 stated that the defendant would send nude photographs of himself, and she would send him still-image photographs in return. The defendant and child victim #1 never met in person.
On June 26, 2023, detectives conducted a recorded interview with child victim #2, who stated that she was 12 years old during her contact with the defendant from November 2022 through March 2023. She identified the defendant’s Snapchat user profile, and informed police that she and the defendant met through Snapchat where he asked for photographs of her posing. She stated that the defendant seemed weird and eventually blocked his user. During their conversations, child victim #2 sent multiple explicit images of herself to the defendant, and on many occasions, the defendant told victim #2 he wanted to kiss her. Victim #2 told detectives that she had informed the defendant that she was 12 years old.
On June 15, 2023, detectives identified child victim #3, who informed investigators that she was approximately 16 years old during her contact with the defendant from September through November of 2022. Child victim #3 identified the defendant’s Snapchat user profile and stated that she believed the defendant was a weird peer she had attended school with and mostly disregarded his messages. Messages between the defendant and child victim #3 included many of his requests to see her naked body.
On June 16, 2023, detectives conducted an interview with child victim #4, who stated she was between 14-15 years old during her contact with the defendant from late December 2022 through late April of 2023. Child victim #4 stated that she recognized the defendant’s username and recalled having numerous conversations with him. Child victim #4 identified images of her posing in underwear and other images of her naked body parts that were sent to the defendant when she was 14 years old. Child victim #4 informed investigators that the defendant told her he was 16 years old and she stated that the defendant told her he was talking to other girls who were as young as 13 years of age.
Not all victims have been identified at this time, and investigators believe there may be more user accounts the defendant utilized to contact other child victims.
