COATESVILLE, PA — The Coatesville Police Department has announced it is actively investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on Friday night, March 8, 2024, on East Diamond Street.
At approximately 7:55 PM, patrol officers responded to an initial call reporting shots fired in the 700 block of East Diamond Street. Upon their arrival, the officers discovered a black male, deceased from apparent gunshot wounds. The Chester County Coroner’s Office is currently working to confirm the victim’s identification and notify his family.
The investigation is ongoing with the assistance of Chester County Detectives and the District Attorney’s Office.
