Coatesville Police Arrest Suspect with Homicide Warrant in Stolen Vehicle Case

COATESVILLE, PA — An 18-year-old suspect with an outstanding homicide warrant was arrested by the City of Coatesville Police Department on June 12, 2024. The arrest followed an investigation into a vehicle crash and a subsequent vehicle pursuit involving stolen cars.

The suspect, identified as 18-year-old Zyun Jabius Thomas, was observed by detectives walking into a convenience store on East Lincoln Highway. Upon approach, Thomas allegedly resisted arrest and attempted to flee. Authorities quickly apprehended him.

Thomas is accused of stealing multiple vehicles from the Jeff D’Ambrosia Dealership in West Caln Township on June 4, 2024. One of the stolen vehicles crashed, causing significant damage to city property and structural damage to a building.

Thomas faces numerous charges, including three counts of theft of a motor vehicle, burglary, receiving stolen property, criminal trespass, and resisting arrest. He also had an active homicide warrant from Shreveport, Louisiana, dating back to 2023.

Detective Carmen Mollichella of the Coatesville Police Department led the investigation, with assistance from the Chester County District Attorney’s Office. Thomas is currently being held in the Chester County Prison.

All charges against Thomas are allegations. He is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Further information may be disclosed as the investigation continues.
