WEST CHESTER, PA – Sean Crawford, 46, was sentenced to 59.5–119 years in state prison on Thursday, April 10, 2025, following his conviction for the years-long sexual abuse of multiple victims, including several children. The Chester County Court of Common Pleas issued the sentence, with Judge Alita A. Rovito condemning Crawford’s actions and referring to him as the “demon in the house,” the same phrase he used to invoke fear in his young victims.

The case, prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Zachary Yurick and Madeline Good, revealed harrowing testimony of prolonged abuse. Over an eight-day trial in May 2024, evidence confirmed that Crawford sexually assaulted several children, including one as young as nine, as well as an intimate partner, across a span of five years. The abuse included rape, physical violence such as choking and beating, and punishment tactics like locking victims in a closet. He also issued threats to prevent his victims from seeking help.

District Attorney Christopher de Barrena-Sarobe commended the courage of the victims, stating, “The Defendant sexually assaulted multiple child victims and physically threatened the victims in order to prevent them from seeking help. Thanks to the bravery of the victims, he will now serve the rest of his life in prison.”

The investigation was led by Chester County Detective Gerald Davis. Officials stressed the importance of vigilance in protecting children from abuse and reminded the public to report concerns by calling 911 or Childline at 1-800-932-0313.

Crawford’s sentencing ensures that he will spend the remainder of his life incarcerated, providing justice for the victims and a stark reminder of the need for continued vigilance and support for survivors of abuse.
