Chester County Authorities Investigate Home Invasion; Assure Public of Isolated Incident

WEST CHESTER, PA — In a joint investigation, the Easttown Township Police, Chester County Detectives, and the FBI are probing a home invasion robbery that allegedly occurred in the early morning hours of January 8, 2024. The incident took place on S. Leopard Rd in the Berwyn section of Easttown Township, according to an official statement from the Chester County District Attorney.

The alleged robbers reportedly made off with cash, jewelry, and the victims’ vehicle. Investigators believe the suspects traveled in the vicinity of Central and Lancaster Avenues in Berwyn following the incident. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the course of the robbery.

While such incidents can shake the tranquility of a community, authorities have assured residents that this appears to be an isolated incident. Law enforcement does not believe there is any ongoing threat to the general public based on the current evidence at hand.

However, in an effort to gather as much information as possible, authorities are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity between 2:00 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. on the day of the incident.
