Chaos in Philly: Vandals Tear Down Traffic Lights During Eagles Super Bowl Celebration!

PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Philadelphia Police Department’s Central Detective Division is working to identify individuals responsible for damaging traffic lights during the city’s celebration of the Eagles’ Super Bowl appearance. Authorities are asking the public for assistance in their investigation.

On the night of Sunday, February 10, 2025, as fans gathered to celebrate, three traffic light poles at the intersection of Juniper and Market Streets were torn down and rendered irreparable by a large group of people. The act of vandalism disrupted traffic in the area, though no injuries were reported during the incident.

Police have released video footage and still images of the suspects involved in the act. The images capture multiple individuals at the scene. Detectives are urging anyone who recognizes the individuals to provide information to help move the case forward.

Residents are reminded not to approach the suspects if they spot them around the city. Police urge individuals to contact 911 immediately if they have information about the suspects’ whereabouts. The case is being handled by Detective Lyons and Detective Winward under DC 25-09-017242.

The Philadelphia Police Department stressed that suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. They also noted that details of the case remain subject to change as the investigation evolves.
