PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Philadelphia Police Department‘s Central Detective Division has issued a request for public assistance in identifying an individual involved in an alleged assault on the Septa El Train. The incident occurred on October 31, 2024, at approximately 5:25 p.m., as a 38-year-old male passenger was traveling on the train near Columbus Boulevard and Spring Garden Street.

According to police reports, the suspect allegedly attacked the victim, striking him multiple times in the face and head, resulting in a concussion. The police have released video clips of the suspect in hopes of gathering information from the public.

The suspect is described as having a short ponytail and was last seen wearing a dark hat, gray sweatshirt, orange pants, and multi-colored sneakers. Authorities caution the public not to approach the individual if spotted, but instead to contact 911 immediately.
