PHILADELPHIA, PA — In an ongoing effort to resolve a case involving a burglary at a local church, the Philadelphia Police Department‘s Central Detective Division is actively seeking the community’s assistance to identify a suspect captured in surveillance footage. The incident, which took place in the early hours of October 10, 2024, has prompted law enforcement to enlist public support in identifying the individual involved.

According to the authorities, the suspect allegedly gained unauthorized access to Moore’s Memorial Baptist Church, located on the 2300 block of North 15th Street, at approximately 12:09 a.m. The individual reportedly forced entry by manipulating the door, subsequently removing audio equipment from the premises before fleeing in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as a Black male, wearing distinctive clothing that includes a “Knicks” hat, a black “Champion” sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, and carrying a light-colored backpack. Police have released video clips in hopes that someone may recognize the suspect and provide valuable information.
