WILMINGTON, DE — The Delaware State Police have arrested a Wilmington man in connection with an alleged robbery at a Citizens Bank on Saturday morning.

The incident occurred on January 4, 2025, at approximately 10:05 a.m. Police responded to the Citizens Bank located at 1620 Marsh Road, following reports of a robbery. According to investigators, the suspect, identified as 65-year-old Gregory Collins, allegedly approached a bank teller and demanded money while using an unknown object concealed under his shirt in a manner perceived as threatening.

Authorities state that the teller complied, handing over an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect reportedly fled the scene in a blue Mitsubishi Outlander.

Through investigative efforts, troopers tracked Collins to a motel in New Castle, where he was taken into custody without incident. Surveillance footage from the bank was reviewed as part of the investigation, and police allege it confirmed Collins’ identity as the suspect.

Collins was transported to Troop 2 and charged with first-degree robbery, a felony. He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and is currently being held at Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on a $60,000 secured bond.
