OXFORD, PA — The Oxford Police Department has refiled charges against Trey Plummer, a 30-year-old Coatesville resident, following an incident categorized as a domestic disturbance. On the evening of March 22, 2024, at approximately 6:07 p.m., police officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Old Street in response to reports of a forced entry.

Authorities allege that Mr. Plummer unlawfully entered a residence and removed multiple items before physically assaulting an individual known to him. The suspect reportedly fled the scene before the arrival of law enforcement officers.

Initial attempts to prosecute the case saw the charges dismissed during a preliminary hearing. However, the Oxford District Court has since reissued a felony arrest warrant as of October 9, 2024, following the refiling of charges. It has been confirmed that Mr. Plummer is currently in the custody of the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections. The outstanding warrant is expected to be retracted upon his arraignment for the new charges.

The charges against Mr. Plummer include burglary and several related offenses. Despite the serious nature of these allegations, it is crucial to acknowledge that a criminal charge does not equate to a presumption of guilt. Mr. Plummer is presumed innocent until proven otherwise in a court of law.

Further updates will be provided as new information becomes available.
