KENNETT SQUARE, PA — An arrest warrant has been issued by District Court 15-3-04 for 33-year-old Porfirio Castillo-Gomez. The warrant comes after Castillo-Gomez’s alleged failure to appear at his preliminary hearing on January 10, 2024.
The charges stem from an incident that occurred in the early hours of October 30, 2023. Officers were dispatched to a reported domestic dispute between a male and a female in the 200 block of S. Walnut Street, Kennett Square Borough. The complainant informed dispatch that they had an active Protection from Abuse (PFA) order against Castillo-Gomez.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers observed Castillo-Gomez in a white utility van parked outside the residence. After engaging with the involved parties, it was alleged that Castillo-Gomez had entered the complainant’s residence without permission and twisted their arm to wrest away their phone.
Subsequently, Castillo-Gomez was taken into custody on allegations of burglary and transported to Central Booking at Chester County Prison.
However, Castillo-Gomez failed to attend his scheduled preliminary hearing earlier this month, resulting in the issuance of the arrest warrant on January 12, 2024. His court docket number is MJ-15304-CR-0000421-2023.
As always, it is important to remember that these charges are allegations and do not constitute a declaration of guilt. Castillo-Gomez, like all individuals facing charges, is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
