NEW CASTLE, DEDelaware State Police have arrested a Connecticut man in connection with a series of burglaries targeting storage units in the New Castle area last month.

According to authorities, 31-year-old Darryck Norris, from Waterbury, Connecticut, faces multiple felony charges linked to incidents at two Public Storage locations on November 12, 2024. Investigators allege that Norris, along with two other suspects, accessed the storage facilities using a fake account and a rented Home Depot van. Following this development, warrants were issued for their arrests on charges including burglary and related offenses.

Norris turned himself in on December 26, 2024, at Delaware State Police Troop 2. He was formally charged with six counts of third-degree burglary, two counts of attempted third-degree burglary, three counts of felony theft, and other related crimes. After his arraignment, Norris was released on a $22,000 unsecured bond.

Law enforcement emphasizes that criminal complaints and arrests are allegations. All suspects are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
