WILMINGTON, DE — The Delaware State Police are investigating an alleged armed robbery that occurred Saturday night at the Royal Farms on Kirkwood Highway.

Authorities stated that on December 21, 2024, at approximately 9:27 p.m., troopers responded to reports of an armed robbery at the convenience store, located at 3701 Kirkwood Highway. According to the preliminary findings, an unidentified male suspect was allegedly hiding merchandise on his person as he attempted to exit the store without paying.

When confronted by employees, the suspect reportedly displayed a handgun and made threatening statements before fleeing the scene. He left the area in a blue sedan that was driven by an unknown individual.

The suspect is described as a white male wearing dark clothing, while further details on the suspect or the getaway vehicle remain unavailable. No injuries were reported during the incident.
