NEW CASTLE, DE — A New Castle man has been arrested in connection with an alleged armed robbery that occurred early Sunday morning at a local Dunkin’ Donuts.
According to the Delaware State Police, the incident unfolded on February 23, 2025, at approximately 2:32 a.m., at the Dunkin’ Donuts located on North Dupont Highway. Investigators allege that a male suspect entered the store and engaged in conversation with a female employee before displaying a firearm and demanding money from the register. The employee complied, and the suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash. Authorities confirmed that the store employee was not injured during the incident.
Law enforcement identified the suspect as 40-year-old Raymond Wilson through investigative efforts. Detectives located and arrested Wilson without incident on February 24, 2025, in New Castle.
Wilson was charged with multiple felonies, including first-degree robbery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and wearing a disguise during the commission of a felony. He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 2 and subsequently committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on a $105,000 cash bond.
State Police continue to investigate the incident. Authorities remind the public that allegations remain active and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
