13-Year-Old Arrested for Possession of a Weapon on School Property

KENNETT SQUARE, PA — The Kennett Square Police Department announced a 13-year-old male was arrested on June 8, 2023, for weapons offenses.

The juvenile has been charged with Possession of a Weapon on School Property, Terroristic Threats, and additional related crimes.

The criminal complaint alleges that on Friday, May 5, 2023, at approximately 7:40 PM, Officers were dispatched for a male, juvenile subject with a gun, in the 400 Block of Magnolia Street, Kennett Square Borough. Officers were able to make contact with multiple groups of juveniles on the playground and were advised of an incident, which occurred approximately fifteen minutes prior, involving a black BB gun. After further investigation and interviews with the victims, it was learned two juvenile males were involved in the BB gun incident.

A juvenile allegation was completed for both and sent to Chester County Juvenile Probation on June 8, 2023.
