CHESTER COUNTY, PASow Good Now, a nonprofit organization focused on empowering youth in underserved communities through sports, will partner with the Greater Brandywine YMCA on Saturday, April 26, for Healthy Kids Day. Representatives from the 501(c)(3) charity will be present from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at three YMCA locations: Lionville, West Chester Airport Road, and Coatesville.

Participants at the event will have opportunities to learn about the organization’s mission, gain insight into the importance of philanthropy, and engage in mental health discussions. Sow Good Now will also provide sports equipment for kids to explore their talents in a fun and educational environment.

Since its founding in 2018, Sow Good Now has impacted children across Chester, Delaware, and Philadelphia counties. The organization collaborates with high school and college athletes to foster connections with underserved youth. This effort, centered on sharing time, talents, and resources, has led to over 3,500 volunteer hours and the distribution of 1,800 pieces of sports equipment in 2024 alone.

Promoting a “spirit of generosity,” Sow Good Now actively engages student-athletes, inspiring them to build lifelong habits of service and giving back to their communities. This event aligns with the organization’s mission by encouraging healthy lifestyles, philanthropy, and meaningful relationships through sports.
