READING, PA — Zūm will host its third school bus driver hiring event for the Reading School District on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Residence Inn in Wyomissing, PA.

The district recently signed a five-year transportation contract with Zūm, which now seeks to hire 120 school bus drivers and attendants for the upcoming 2024-25 school year. Both current bus drivers and those considering a new career are encouraged to attend the event.

Zūm offers competitive wages, guaranteed hours, and modern benefits. Their fleet includes state-of-the-art, air-conditioned buses equipped with advanced safety and comfort features. The company also provides extensive training, including programs for transporting students with diverse needs and disabilities.

“We are thrilled to partner with Reading School District for student transportation and are eager to expand our team of bus drivers as we prepare for the 2024-25 school year,” said Ritu Narayan, Founder and CEO of Zūm. “Drivers are the heart of what we do at Zūm, and we are excited to see the enthusiasm from the driver community to date.”

Reading School District Superintendent Dr. Jennifer Murray expressed excitement about the partnership. “We are excited to partner with Zūm to ensure safe, reliable, and sustainable transportation for our students,” she said. “Prioritizing the safety of Reading’s students during their commutes is our top priority, and an important first step is hiring a team of experienced, local drivers.”

For those unable to attend the hiring event, applications can still be submitted online.

Zūm currently manages student transportation in several states, including Massachusetts, Maryland, California, Washington, Texas, Illinois, and Tennessee. This year, they are expanding operations to Nebraska, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Connecticut, and Missouri.
