PHILADELPHIA, PA — Philadelphia’s own Wokworks is set to bring its fast-casual flair and wok-fired favorites to the Jersey Shore, marking the brand’s first foray outside its home city. Owners Brennan and Samantha Foxman announced the opening of Wokworks Margate, poised to debut in early June at 7801 Ventnor Avenue, just in time for the summer beach season.

Nestled in the heart of Margate, the new outpost occupies a prime spot that once housed Greens and Grains, and even further back, a Stewart’s. This location boasts 2,000 square feet of space, both indoors and out, including an outdoor seating area designed to accommodate 40 to 50 guests along the bustling main street.

Patrons can expect to find Wokworks’ signature dishes such as Chili Garlic Chicken and Drunk Noodles, alongside new offerings like Dry Pepper Korean Fried Wings and Peach Yuzu Slushies. The menu also caters to diverse dietary preferences with vegan and gluten-free options, ensuring there’s something for everyone, from beach-goers to late-night snackers.

In a nod to their roots, the Foxmans aim to infuse Wokworks Margate with a piece of their Fishtown flagship, including selections from favorite local businesses. The restaurant will serve seven days a week, featuring both daytime and evening hours, with extended service on weekends to satisfy late-night cravings.

Brennan expressed his enthusiasm about the location, noting, “After years of searching, we’ve finally found the perfect spot for Wokworks in Margate, a place close to our hearts as locals who grew up frequenting its beaches.”

The commitment to quality shines through in their promise to source 100% of produce and vegetables from local farms in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. This, coupled with scratch-made sauces and the quick, high-heat magic of wok cooking, ensures meals are not only fast but fresh and flavorful.
