Wilmington Police Seek Public Assistance in Locating Missing Teenager

WILMINGTON, DE — The Wilmington Police Department has issued a public appeal for assistance in finding a missing 14-year-old girl, Nyja Evans. The teenager was last seen on December 12, at 5:00 p.m., in the 800 block of West 18th Street.

Nyja is described as a black female, standing approximately 5’8″ tall and weighing around 300 lbs. She has burgundy braids and was last seen wearing blue sweatpants with a white stripe, along with black and purple Nike sneakers.

The department is urging anyone with information about Nyja’s whereabouts to come forward. They have urged residents to remain vigilant and report any sightings or information that may assist in locating the teenager.
