Wilmington Police Investigate Saturday Morning Shooting on Lancaster Avenue

WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police are currently investigating a shooting incident that took place in the early hours of Saturday, November 11, 2023. The incident occurred at approximately 8:50 a.m. on the 1400 block of Lancaster Avenue.

Investigators say that upon arrival at the scene, police discovered an 18-year-old female suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to the hospital where she remains in stable condition. Authorities have chosen not to disclose any further information about the victim at this stage of the investigation.

The incident is still under active investigation as police work to uncover more details surrounding the circumstances of the shooting.
