WILMINGTON, DE — The Wilmington Police Department announced the arrest of a second suspect in connection with a shooting incident that took place earlier this month. The suspect, 40-year-old Sharon Grady, was taken into custody without incident and has been charged with multiple offenses.

On November 2, at approximately 8:00 p.m., officers from the Uniformed Services Division responded to a shooting incident on the 1100 block of Columbia Avenue. Upon arrival, they found a 30-year-old female victim suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was quickly transported to the hospital, where she remains in stable condition.

A responding officer located a suspect, identified as 33-year-old Roderic Grady, who allegedly attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended near Cedar and Anchorage Street. Detective Anthony Ford of the Criminal Investigations Division led the investigation and identified Roderic Grady as a suspect in the shooting.

As the investigation progressed, Detective Ford identified Sharon Grady as a second suspect in the case. She was subsequently arrested and charged with first-degree assault, hindering a police investigation, second-degree conspiracy, and terroristic threatening.

Sharon Grady was arraigned in New Castle County Superior Court and has been committed to the Delores J. Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution pending further proceedings.
