Wilmington Police Arrest Man and Seize Off-Highway Vehicle Following Pursuit

WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police have arrested a man and seized an off-highway vehicle in an operation carried out by the Traffic Unit on March 7.

At around 11:15 a.m., officers stationed in the 1000 block of Delaware Avenue reportedly spotted a male individual operating an off-highway vehicle. When police attempted to stop the man, he allegedly fled the area. However, officers managed to locate him a short while later in the 1200 block of North Vanburen Street.

The suspect, identified as 23-year-old Trevor Smith, was taken into custody without incident. The off-highway vehicle he was operating was also seized by authorities.

In addition to traffic violations, Smith has been charged with resisting arrest. He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 20 and subsequently released on his own recognizance.
