PENNBURG, PA — Montgomery County-based WHEREHOUSE BEVERAGE CO (WHBCo) has announced a significant expansion, securing distribution deals for its flagship beverage, WYNK, in five major US markets. The hemp-derived, THC-infused seltzer will soon be available on the shelves of traditional beverage retailers in Chicagoland, New Jersey, Ohio, Connecticut, and Massachusetts.
WYNK, already sold in over 100 stores across Minnesota and available for direct-to-consumer sales in 32 states, is poised to make a splash in the mainstream cannabis beverage space with these new deals.
The beverage is crafted with a balanced 1:1 ratio of naturally occurring, hemp-derived THC to CBD, infused at 2.5mg and 5mg per can. Offering zero sugar and zero calories, WYNK comes in three flavors: Black Cherry Fizz, Juicy Mango, and Lime Twist.
Phil McFarland, General Manager of THC Beverages at WHBCo, expressed the company’s commitment to creating best-in-class cannabis beverages that can hold their own in the mainstream adult beverage market. He emphasized the company’s aim to meet customers where they shop and continue to normalize infused drinks as a viable option for those uninterested in alcohol.
Partnering with traditional distributors allows WHBCo to educate local business owners about THC-infused beverages and offer additional options to stores experiencing a decline in alcohol sales among younger consumers. These deals also allow consumers to select cannabis-infused drinks from the same locations where they purchase other adult beverages.
Miguel Garcia, Head of Brand for WHBCo, shared his enthusiasm about the expansion, stating, “WYNK was born to be on the shelves next to great brands like White Claw and swim in the same coolers.”
WYNK began availability in Chicagoland on November 13, major metro markets in New Jersey from mid-November, Massachusetts and Connecticut from December, and major metro markets in Ohio from January.
This expansion marks an exciting advancement for WHBCo and the broader cannabis beverage industry.
