PHILADELPHIA, PA — Weckerly’s Ice Cream has announced the opening of its third location this April in Philadelphia’s historic Rittenhouse neighborhood. The new scoop shop, located at 1600 Spruce Street, will expand the company’s presence in the city and introduce new offerings to customers.
The Rittenhouse location will feature up to 24 of Weckerly’s signature small-batch flavors, known for their handcrafted process using premium ingredients. Guests can also enjoy the brand’s iconic ice cream sandwiches, which have long been a favorite among fans. For the first time, Weckerly’s will incorporate an all-day coffee and tea service, spotlighting fresh roasts from Delaware-based Brandywine Roasters.
“Expanding to Rittenhouse is an exciting milestone for Weckerly’s,” said Cristina Torres, CEO and Owner of Weckerly’s. “This neighborhood has always been a special place for me, and we’re thrilled to bring our handcrafted ice cream to a new corner of the city. With each step of our growth, our focus remains on making the best product from scratch and creating joy and connection through our ice cream, and we can’t wait to welcome the community to our newest location.”
Weckerly’s first launched in the Fishtown neighborhood in 2012 and has since remained dedicated to creating small-batch ice cream and mix-ins entirely from scratch at its Northeast Philadelphia kitchen. The company marked a significant milestone in September 2024 with the debut of its King of Prussia Mall location. The Rittenhouse expansion reflects the continued success and growing demand for its offerings.
Additional details, including the official opening date and grand opening plans, will be shared in the coming weeks as Weckerly’s prepares to welcome the Rittenhouse community.
