SPRING HOUSE, PA — The Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME) has granted Webster University’s Master of Health Administration (MHA) program initial accreditation for a three-year term.
Dr. Douglas Whitman, MHA Program Lead, expressed pride in the recognition. “We are so pleased to be acknowledged by the industry’s premier accreditation agency,” he told students and faculty. “The standards are very high, and we are honored to be recognized among the MHA programs that are CAHME-accredited.”
Webster University’s MHA program, which educates working healthcare professionals, received praise from its faculty. Dr. Mary Paine, an MHA faculty member, highlighted the team effort behind the program’s success. “Our 30 MHA faculty members and the terrific administrative support team work very hard to educate working healthcare professionals,” she said.
Dr. Dan Mueller, another professor in the MHA program, emphasized the program’s long history and substantial enrollment. “Webster University is over 100 years old, and the Webster MHA program is over 50 years old,” he noted. “With 200 enrolled students, it becomes one of the older and larger CAHME-accredited MHA programs in the U.S.”
CAHME accreditation is a significant achievement in the field of healthcare education. Dr. Anthony Stanowski, president and CEO of CAHME, explained the rigorous process involved. “CAHME-accredited programs have successfully navigated a thorough accreditation process managed by experts in the study and practice of healthcare management,” he said. “The program meets rigorous standards set by leading academics and practitioners. We recognize their commitment to the field.”
Webster University’s MHA program now joins an elite group of CAHME-accredited institutions. This accreditation signifies that the program meets high educational standards and prepares students effectively for leadership roles in healthcare management.
The CAHME Board’s decision reflects the quality and dedication found at Webster University. As the MHA program continues to grow, this accreditation serves as a testament to its excellence and its faculty’s hard work.
