LIBERTY TOWNSHIP, OH& WAWA, PA — Wawa, Inc. has officially announced that its first store in Ohio will open on Wednesday, April 16, marking a significant milestone in the company’s foray into the Midwest. Located at 7198 Cincinnati Dayton Road in Liberty Township, Butler County, this flagship location heralds the convenience retailer’s entry into its 10th state. The date also aligns with Wawa Day, celebrating the 61st anniversary of the first Wawa store opening on April 16, 1964, in Delaware County, Pennsylvania.

The Liberty Township store is the first of 8-10 Wawa locations set to launch in Ohio by the end of 2025, showcasing the company’s commitment to local growth. Customers can expect Wawa’s signature combination of freshly made food, beverages, convenience products, and fuel services, alongside its hallmark customer experience and community-focused ethos.

Each location represents a $7.5 million investment and employs approximately 140 contractors and local business partners during construction. Once operational, each store employs an average of 35 team members, with Wawa projecting the creation of 2,100 long-term jobs statewide as the expansion progresses.
