Water Main Construction to Close Route 23 in Upper Merion Township

UPPER MERION TWP, PA — Aqua Pennsylvania will begin water main construction on Route 23 (Valley Forge Road) in Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County, starting Tuesday, February 11.

The work will require weekday road closures and detours at the intersection of Route 23 and Route 252 (Valley Creek Road) from February 11 through April 25, between 9 AM and 3 PM. During these hours, motorists will be rerouted along Route 23 (Valley Forge Road/Nutt Road), Route 29 (Starr Street and Bridge Street), Egypt Road, U.S. 422, and Route 23 (Valley Forge Park Road/Gulph Road).

Local access to properties near the work zone will remain available. Travelers are urged to allow extra time due to expected backups and delays. Aqua Pennsylvania has noted that progress is weather dependent.
