EAST HEMPFIELD TWP, PA — The Lancaster City Water Authority announced that water line work will take place next week on Centerville Road in East Hempfield Township, causing significant traffic disruptions. This project is part of the Centerville Road Interchange Improvement Project.

From Monday, July 8, through Thursday, July 11, workers will replace an existing water main across Centerville Road. The work will occur nightly from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM, weather permitting.

During this time, traffic on Centerville Road will be restricted to a single lane with alternating flow between the westbound Route 30 ramps and Hempland Road. Traffic signals will flash, and flaggers will guide vehicles through the work zone.

Motorists should expect major delays and are encouraged to find alternate routes. These closures are necessary to ensure the safety of both workers and drivers.
