WARRINGTON, PA — A 70-year-old Warrington resident faces allegations related to child pornography following an undercover operation, according to the Warrington Township Police Department.

Lawrence Williams is alleged to have possessed and disseminated child sexual abuse material (CSAM). The allegations came to light during a covert investigation into the online sharing of child pornography on August 7, 2023. During this operation, investigators identified a computer displaying an IP address registered in Warrington Township. Several files allegedly containing CSAM were downloaded from this computer.

Subsequently, a search warrant was served at the residence associated with the IP address. It led to the discovery of several more files allegedly containing CSAM on electronic devices found on the premises. These devices were later determined to be owned by Williams.

On January 4, 2024, Williams turned himself into Warrington Police Detectives. He was processed on multiple charges, including one count of sexual abuse of children (possession of child pornography), one count of sexual abuse of children (dissemination of child pornography), and one count of criminal use of a communication facility.

Williams was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Stacy Wertman and released on unsecured bail after meeting his bail conditions.

The Warrington Police Department extended thanks to several organizations for their assistance in the investigation, including Homeland Security Investigations, Bucks County Detectives, New Britain Township Police Department, and the FBI’s Regional Computer Forensics Laboratory.

As the investigation continues, the police department underscores that an arrest or a criminal complaint is not a declaration of guilt. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
