PHILADELPHIA, PA — Walmart and the Nebinger PTA collaborated to host a Wellness Fair at the George W. Nebinger School gymnasium, aiming to educate students and their families on the importance of healthy living. The interactive event, part of National PTA’s Healthy Lifestyles initiative, provided students with hands-on opportunities to learn about various health topics.

Supported by a Walmart grant, PTA Wellness Fairs provide flexible and engaging environments where students can explore concepts like nutrition, physical activity, and mental health at their own pace. The program’s focus aligns with National PTA’s Healthy Lifestyles pillars of promoting healthy bodies, minds, and environments.

“We strongly believe that a healthy lifestyle is a key component to our students’ ability to thrive,” said Steven Devane, Director of Market Health and Wellness, Walmart Health & Wellness Operations. “These wellness fairs not only educate students about the importance of health but also provide them with practical resources to implement these learnings in their daily lives.”

The initiative underscores Walmart’s ongoing partnership with the National PTA to foster wellness among children and their communities. By providing resources and interactive learning opportunities, the program empowers students to make informed choices about their well-being.

With its commitment to health-focused education, Walmart, along with Nebinger School and the PTA, is helping prepare future generations to lead healthier lives. Programs like the Wellness Fair not only impact students today but also help establish lifelong habits that contribute to stronger communities in the future.
