VILLANOVA, PA — Villanova University has announced the appointment of four distinguished individuals to its Board of Trustees, effective January 1. The new members bring a wealth of experience in leadership, education, ministry, and business, further positioning Villanova for continued growth and success.
The new trustees are the Rev. Paul W. Galetto, OSA, STB, PhD; Michael Kazanjian; the Rev. Daniel Madden, OSA; and Sister Diane Olmstead, MSC. Their collective expertise spans academia, marketing, pastoral care, and global mission work.
“On behalf of the entire Villanova community, I am pleased to welcome our newest Board members, two of whom were trustees at Cabrini University,” said Villanova University President the Rev. Peter M. Donohue, OSA, PhD. “I look forward to working closely with our new members—and all our trustees—to ensure that Villanova continues to deliver on its mission and achieve the ambitious goals we have outlined for our University.”
Rev. Paul W. Galetto, OSA, STB, PhD
Father Galetto brings over 30 years of experience as an educator and administrator, including leadership roles at St. Rita of Cascia High School and St. Augustine College Preparatory High School. A double alumnus of Villanova, he also served as Assistant Dean and an assistant professor at the university’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. He currently serves as Pastor of St. Paul Parish and Parochial Administrator at St. Augustine Parish in Philadelphia.
Michael Kazanjian
Kazanjian, Chief Marketing Officer at Fiduciary Exchange, LLC (FIDx), has extensive experience in strategic direction and innovative platform development. He previously held executive roles at Prudential, Lincoln Financial Group, and other financial services firms. Kazanjian is also a former trustee of Cabrini University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in English and Communications.
Rev. Daniel Madden, OSA
A Villanova alumnus ordained in 2020, Father Madden serves as Director of Austin Scholars Formation at Merrimack College. His work focuses on student service, teaching theology, and community building. He has also supported Villanova students through international pilgrimages and joint ministry initiatives.
Sister Diane Olmstead, MSC
Sister Diane is the Provincial Superior of the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, overseeing operations in multiple countries. Her leadership portfolio includes roles in pastoral ministry, education, and healthcare, along with fiscal stewardship for her congregation. She holds advanced degrees in nursing and theology and has served on numerous boards, including Cabrini Immigrant Services and Cabrini University.
These appointments aim to strengthen Villanova University’s mission of developing well-rounded, compassionate individuals who are prepared to make a positive impact in the world.
