LANCASTER, PA — Veritas Scholars Academy (VSA) is broadening its Dual Enrollment (DE) program for the 2024-2025 school year, providing students with the chance to earn both high school and college credits simultaneously. This initiative, in collaboration with Cairn University, offers a dual enrollment option that is both cost-effective and adaptable, catering to full-time and part-time juniors and seniors, as well as approved sophomores.

Participating students can enroll in select VSA Live Courses and apply for dual enrollment status. Upon achieving a grade of 70% or higher, they will receive official college credits from Cairn University. This program is designed to give students a head start in their college education while completing their high school studies.

Bob Cannon, Headmaster at VSA, expressed enthusiasm about the program’s expansion, stating that it provides students with a significant opportunity to advance their academic journey and prepares them for future success. “This program with Cairn University helps prepare for future success by getting a jumpstart on college credits—and empowers students to take ownership of their education,” Cannon said.

The program now includes six new courses, expanding its offerings to nearly 50 courses. New additions include Introduction to Biotechnology, Biblical Literacy: Survey of the Bible, Science Fiction: A Christian Perspective, and Shakespearean Literature. All DE courses span a full academic year and are recognized as Spring semester courses by Cairn University.

The enrollment application deadline for the current school year is set for October 31, 2024. Through this program, VSA continues to align with its mission to provide rigorous, Christ-centered academic instruction, offering students an invaluable pathway to prepare for their future educational endeavors.
