PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that utility construction by 20-30 W Allens Lane Partners LLC will result in scheduled road closures and lane restrictions on Allens Lane between Monday, April 14, and Wednesday, April 30.
From Monday to Wednesday during this period, Allens Lane will be closed weekdays between Germantown Avenue and Bryan Street from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Motorists will be directed to follow detours using Bryan Street, Nippon Street, and Germantown Avenue. Local access will remain available.
Additionally, lane closures on Allens Lane between Bryan Street and Cresheim Road will include flagging during the same weekday hours.
Motorists traveling through the area are strongly encouraged to allow extra time for their commutes, as delays and backups are expected. All construction activities are weather-dependent, according to PennDOT.
The utility work is being completed under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit issued to 20-30 W Allens Lane Partners LLC.
