Utility Construction to Close Section of Spring Mill Road Until 2025

Traffic Alert

LOWER MERION, PA — PECO Energy will begin utility construction on Route 238 (Spring Mill Road) in Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County, starting Monday, July 8. The project is expected to last until February 28, 2025.

From 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, Spring Mill Road will be closed between Wrenfield Way and Route 23 (Conshohocken State Road). During these hours, motorists should use Old Gulph Road, Matsonford Road, and Route 23 as detours.

Local access will be maintained up to the work zone, but drivers are advised to plan for extra travel time due to anticipated backups and delays. These scheduled activities are weather dependent and could be adjusted if conditions do not permit safe operations.

PECO Energy is conducting this work under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit, aiming to improve the area’s utility infrastructure.
