PHILADELPHIA, PA — Independence National Historical Park has announced nighttime utility construction on Independence Mall, which will temporarily affect traffic flow in the area starting Monday, April 21.
The repairs will require nighttime closures of Independence Mall from Walnut Street to Chestnut Street, Mondays through Thursdays, between 7:00 PM and 5:00 AM, beginning April 21 and continuing through May 15. During these hours, traffic will be redirected to use Walnut Street, 7th Street, and Chestnut Street detours.
Local access will be permitted up to the work zone. Motorists should expect delays and are advised to allocate additional time for travel in the vicinity of the construction.
