Utility Construction on Bishop Avenue to Cause Weekday Closures

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — PECO Energy has announced that utility construction on Bishop Avenue in Springfield and Upper Darby townships, Delaware County, will commence on Thursday, August 29.

From August 29 through September 26, a weekday closure will be in effect on Bishop Avenue between Baltimore Pike and Broadway Avenue from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. During this period, motorists will be directed to use Baltimore Avenue, Oak Avenue, and Providence Road as detour routes. Local access will be maintained up to the work zone.

Drivers are advised to allocate extra travel time due to anticipated backups and delays. The construction schedule is weather dependent.

PECO Energy will execute the utility construction under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit. The public is encouraged to stay informed and plan their routes accordingly.
