HORSHAM TWP, PA — Horsham Township, Montgomery County, is set for a significant roadwork project starting Monday, April 22, that will affect daily commutes and local traffic patterns. The township announced plans to conduct maintenance on Route 611 (Easton Road), a key thoroughfare for residents and visitors alike.
The scheduled work will take place on the southbound lane of Route 611, stretching from County Line Road to Maple Avenue. To minimize disruption, the construction is planned for weekdays only, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and is expected to last until Friday, June 14. Despite efforts to limit the impact, motorists are being warned to expect delays and are encouraged to allocate extra travel time when passing through the area.
This necessary maintenance has received a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
Given the potential for backups and the inconvenience to drivers, the township urges the public to plan accordingly. Whether it involves leaving earlier for appointments, using alternative routes, or simply practicing patience, the community’s cooperation will be essential in navigating this temporary challenge.
As with all outdoor construction, the roadwork schedule is subject to change based on weather conditions. The township promises to keep residents informed of any adjustments and to work diligently to complete the project as swiftly and safely as possible.
