BUCKS COUNTY, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced essential maintenance work scheduled to take place on the Easton Road ramp to the northbound U.S. 202 (Doylestown Bypass) and Mechanicsville Road in Bucks County. This project aims to ensure smoother and safer travel through critical repairs and infrastructure improvements.
The Easton Road ramp leading to the northbound U.S. 202 (Doylestown Bypass) will undergo concrete repairs, necessitating its closure from Tuesday, November 12, through Tuesday, November 19, between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM on weekdays. This closure will affect both Doylestown Borough and Doylestown Township. During this period, motorists will be rerouted via Easton Road, Edison Furlong Road, and Route 313 (Swamp Road) to circumvent the work zone.
Concurrently, Mechanicsville Road will experience a closure from Tuesday, November 12, through Friday, November 22, also between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM on weekdays. This segment, stretching between Aquetong Road and Greenhill Road in Solebury Township, will be closed for pipe replacement. Motorists are advised to utilize detour routes through Greenhill Road and Aquetong Road. Local access will remain available throughout the duration of the project.
PennDOT advises drivers to allocate extra time for travel in these areas due to anticipated congestion and potential delays. The success of these scheduled activities is contingent upon favorable weather conditions.
