Upcoming Fiber Optic Installation on Route 3 (West Chester Pike) in Newtown Township: Expect Delays

NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that fiber optic installation will continue next week on Route 3 (West Chester Pike) in Newtown Township, Delaware County, under a local safety improvement project.

The work schedule and location are:

  • Monday, July 31, through Friday, August 4, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 3 (West Chester Pike) in both directions at the intersection with Charles Ellis Drive.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
