PHILADELPHIA, PA — As the holiday season approaches, Philadelphia is preparing to dazzle residents and visitors alike with the return of its beloved Christmas Village. Presented by Bank of America, this iconic open-air German Christmas Market will transform LOVE Park, City Hall’s Courtyard, and the North Broad sections into a winter wonderland from November 28 through December 24, with a special Preview Weekend on November 23 and 24.

Now in its 17th year, Christmas Village promises an extraordinary festive experience featuring more than 120 vendors offering an eclectic mix of handmade gifts, artisanal goods, and delectable treats. Shoppers can explore an enchanting array of holiday decor, unique stocking stuffers, and special items perfect for placing under the tree. The market will come alive with the glow of thousands of twinkling lights, including the debut of European market-style illumination in new sections.

Among the exciting new features this year is the market’s first-ever vegan booth, offering plant-based delights such as vegan bratwurst and crispy blooming onions. Traditional favorites like Glühwein, a warm spiced mulled wine, will introduce refreshing new flavors crafted by Pennsylvania’s own Mazza Wines. Visitors can also indulge in a variety of culinary delights, from Swiss raclette cheese to authentic German Bratwurst.

The Christmas Village experience extends beyond shopping, with live performances, children’s activities, and classic rides such as the double-decker Carousel, Ferris Wheel, and SEPTA’s Kids Train. The event’s German American Weekend, set for December 14 and 15, will spotlight cultural traditions with live performances and culinary events.

As part of its commitment to community support, Christmas Village will again partner with the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia for the ‘Festival of Trees’ fundraiser. The market also offers unique photo opportunities, including the enchanting Angel Wing Wall.
