Unattended Vehicle with Firearm Inside Stolen in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Philadelphia Police Department reported a vehicle theft that occurred on March 12, 2024, in a parking lot located on the 3900 block of Aramingo Avenue. The incident happened at approximately 11:30 AM when an unknown male allegedly stole an unattended Jeep Renegade that had been left running.

Reportedly, a Sig Sauer 9MM P365X firearm was inside the vehicle at the time of the alleged theft. Surveillance video capturing the event has been recovered by the authorities.

Law enforcement officials have urged the public not to approach the suspect if seen, but to contact 911 immediately.
